Ruti Drops Addicting New Neo-Soul Single “FLOWERS”

Fresh off the release of their 2025 debut album, Maybe I Got It Wrong, and with their second new single of the year, Ruti is once again showing why they won Series 7 of The Voice UK. Where they channeled the early-2000s swagger of Kaiser Chiefs on this year's "I'LL BE YOUR FRIEND," "FLOWERS" finds them leaning into the shimmering, soulful sound of the London Soho club scene of the 1960s.
"I don't care/Just take me where there's flowers, flowers/I got something we could share/And if you dare it's ours, it's ours," Ruti sings over an infectious groove propelled by sweeping strings, acoustic guitar, and crisp, jazz-inflected drums. Miley Cyrus might buy herself flowers but Ruti demands them, daring a would-be lover to meet them where they're at as they kick off a dance that's hard to leave.
Ruti possesses a remarkable voice, but "FLOWERS" also highlights just how strong a songwriter they are. That combination has already earned tour slots alongside Alanis Morissette, Hemlocke Springs, and Teddy Swims. Add in the pace at which they're releasing compelling new music, and Ruti is quickly establishing themselves as one of the UK's most exciting emerging artists. They're unquestionably one to watch.
